Take some time to objectively think through your heart’s attitude toward ministry at this moment in time. Are there any hidden resentments? Any traces of self-pity based on half-truths or lies? Write out any you identify.
How do you deal with a lack of dedication or lack of sacrificial service by parishioners in your church? How can you prevent the disobedience of others from discouraging you or building resentment toward them?
Do you face any personal challenges due to your husband’s spiritual gifts or calling? If so, has any hidden resentment formed? Are there ways you have pushed back from supporting him in his calling? If so, identify those challenges or pushbacks and write them out.
Ask God to teach you how to accept the challenges associated with your husband’s calling and not push back from them. Read Romans 8:28 and look for ways its truth can be applied to those challenges or pushbacks. Write down any thoughts that come to mind.
